My husband and I had a dream of owning our own home, and that¿s exactly what it was a DREAM. We never believed it could be a reality for us, for several reasons: 1. We lived in the most expensive housing area in the universe, the San Francisco bay area 2. My credit was horrible 3. My husband is an independent contractor and does not ¿show¿ a lot of income on paper 4. We had very little savings for a down payment However, a friend of mine referred us to Bob & Jenny Broxham to look into purchasing a home. Since, we had a less-than-conventional situation, they referred us to a Mortgage Broker first, to see if we would qualify for a loan, and if so, how large. We met with Chary Steele (Olympic Funding) to go over our situation. Chary was extremely helpful and ensured us that she would be able to get us approved for a loan. We were very skeptical, as we knew someone had to approve us on a ¿stated income¿ loan at approximately 95% loan-to-value. We were pretty confident that Chary & the Broxham¿s didn¿t know that we were ¿unloanable¿. However, much to our surprise we did get approved for a loan up to $300,000! Then, the work of finding a home began. Bob & Jenny Broxham were completely flexible with our time frame. They asked us, ¿When do you want to be in a new home?¿ We answered honestly, ¿yesterday!¿ Bob & Jenny were constant professionals while still being very down-to-earth and accessible. We feel like we¿ve gained friends as well as amazing real estate agents who bent over backwards to accommodate our every need. We can¿t say enough about their services before and after the sale. When we did finally find our dream house they got us ten thousand dollars off the asking price and closing costs leaving plenty of extra cash to buy new furniture and window coverings. They also paid for a cleaning service to save us the hassle of cleaning our old place. When we officially moved in, we were greeted with a gift from the Broxham¿s and a handy binder with all the community information we could possibly need. Working with¿the Broxhams¿was a pleasure from beginning to end. Before I started working with¿them, my house was on the market for three months with different realtors but I didn't get any offers.
